Once you have determined with which
database system you want to test (we recommend the SQL2005 Express version
on the downloads page), download the three component files as detailed on the
appropriate section.
The 1st component is then run to install the SQL backend database system.
Note... The install will force a reboot of your PC. Make sure that other
programs are closed before starting the install process.
( -If you already have a Microsoft SQL system, then you do not need
this 1st component. But you will need sa Administrator access to your SQL
system. Your db-Administrator will likely want to edit the LMSrestore.sql
script installed as part of the Component 2 processing below)
|
| 2:
|
The 2nd component will install a few files
into a folder C:\Gendata and then perform
a sql restore procedure to install the testing database. The process uses
the sql script in the file C:\Gendata\lmsrestore.sql. This is
the file your db Administrator may wish to edit should you be using an
existing MS-SQL engine.
|
| 3:
|
The 3rd component will install the test
SQL version of Genawise LMS (Loan Manager System).
|
| 4:
|
The next step is to run the LMSConfigure
program to set the SQL connection details
|
| 5:
|
Once connection details are set, then you
should start the LMS program and select the Test dataset. The system will
take up to about 20 seconds to show the next screen. Normally this would
be about 1 second if the connection is successful.
